Journeyperson Upgrade Course Application
Local 28 will be offering evening training courses at the Apprentice School. We encourage you to take advantage of this training opportunity to improve your skills, particularly if you have been unemployed and fell that your skills may be rusty. If you are interested in taking a course, please : complete the enclosed form and return to 139-20 Jamaica Avenue, Jamaica, NY 11435. 2008 Scholarship Application

The Trustees of the Scholarship Fund are once again pleased to inform you of the upcoming scholarship examination. A competitive examination will be given, administered by James Richards of Nassau Community College. Each applicant will be notified of the date, time and location of the examination.

Upon consideration of the Scholarship Fund Trustees, the following eligibility requirements were adopted for Scholarship Applicants:

· Dependent children or grandchildren who are attending High School and are eligible to
enter College in the Fall of 2008, or attending a College or University for undergraduate
courses. Students attending a College or University on a graduate program are not
eligible to participate.

· A child of a deceased member, applying within two (2) years of the member's death.
